tutorials

I am a new user of Talisman2 -- just registered my copy a couple of days ago. I'm picking it up pretty quickly and having lots of fun, but can't find much help in the way of tutorials. I visited the link that is on lighttek's page, but the tutorial is incomplete at that link. Any ideas where I might be able to find more info? It's mostly forms and scripting that I need help with.
Thanks a bunch to anyone who can help!

The problem that the English language is not the native language for developers of Talisman. Therefore big descriptions are still a problem for us.
Talisman has a detailed help file, but seems it is not enough.

So ask concrete questions in this forum. We will try to answer.

Thanks for the prompt reply! I will have to organize my thoughts and come up with some clear questions within the next few days.
Thanks again!

Theming

Mishells,
Just a thought for you.Ive been theming Talisman since the early days and it was easier then as the program wasn't so complicated as it is now. From my experience, the best way to learn is by using reverse engineering.Thats to say, pick a theme with any particular problem you wish to solve,ie.scripting,Take a look at the way the files etc.are laid out and use them as your template, changing the original info with your own.It works well and you will soon be up and running.
Good Luck!

Thanks, rhigga, that's sorta what I've been doing. I've been figuring things out fairly well, which is why I haven't posted a more specific question, yet. I'm having so much fun with this, and can't imagine why anyone would want to use a windows desktop again!

I've had talisman 2.71 for a while and I still don't really know how to make my own theme. I read the tuturial but It didn't help much. Could someone tell me what would I need to do or what do I need to download? thank you in advance.

im not really a theme expert, but you'll have to make the gfx for your theme using like photoshop. then you softwareign your gfx properties in TOE, creat menus, buttons, etc. mess around and reverse engineer.

take a theme, see what gfx they use, make your own gfx and replace theirs with yours, see how funny it looks and try to make it look not funny. basically see how bad you can mess up a theme, then you'll know what to not do.

live and let learn...?
